A distinguished Neurologist, Dr. Eric R. Cohen practices medicine in clinical and classroom settings. Dr. Eric Cohen currently sees patients at his own personal private practice, Summit Medical Group in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. In addition to his work at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Eric Cohen lends his expertise to Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey, as an Attending Neurologist. A passionate student and educator, Dr. Eric Cohen is known for his teaching work as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Eric Cohen began his path to the medical field when he graduated from Bloomington-based, Indiana University in 1996, with a Bachelor's of Arts in Biology. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Eric Cohen began medical school in New York, at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Eric Cohen received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. Soon after medical school, Dr. Eric Cohen began his Internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Following his internship, Dr. Eric Cohen would stay in New York City for his Residency. Dr. Eric Cohen ended his Residency in Neurology at the NYU Medical Center as Chief Resident. Dr. Eric Cohen stayed at the New York University Medical Center to conduct a fellowship program. Dr. Eric Cohen's fellowship was in Clinical Neurophysiology, an in-depth examination and study of Epilepsy, EEG, and EMG. Dr. Eric Cohen received his board certification in Neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Eric Cohen is a highly respected member of his field in New Jersey. The magazine New Jersey Monthly named Dr. Eric Cohen as one of the area's Top Doctors for four consecutive years, in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. |
